„Drzewicz” grain cooler

Continous flow grain coolers used with batch dryers allow to significantly increase the drying capacity and save energy. The hot grain unloaded from the dryer into the cooler stays in the top part of the cooler up to 5 hours (in case of corn). During this time moisture levels across the drier, outer layers and more moist, inner layers of the kernels equalize.

This process allows to unload each batch much sooner from the dryer than it is done when the grain is cooled in the dryer – even at 17% moisture content. Then the grain slowly gives off the moisture during cooling.
